How Local Folks Food Began
An informative talk by Steve Spencer

Steve Spencer is a farmer and founder of Local Folks Food, a small company producing mushroom patties, pasta sauce, jelly, and other products. The Spencer family originally founded Local Folks Food to utilize extra produce from their farm. They started off selling their products at local farmers markets and now distribute through small retailers around Indiana. Come hear Steve talk about how he started the business and what he would suggest for entrepreneurs with a special recipe of their own. "Good food, made for local folks, by local folks"

We are encouraging all our members to register for this $275 12-week business planning class that helps entrepreneurs evaluate the feasibility of their business ideas and write business plans. For more informaion, call SEED Corp at (812) 330-6272. SEED Corp is a nonprofit group that manages a loan fund for small businesses in southern and central Indiana. Loans are available to individuals with small businesses who have taken the business planning class and developed a complete business plan.
